Business Minors
Two minors are available for University of Utah students who are not business majors.
The Business Minor
The Business Minor can give you a quick foundation of business knowledge in just 18 semester credit hours. Students take four required classes—in accounting, finance, management, and marketing—and then can select two electives from a long list of available courses. Many students combine the business minor with an economics or mass communication major.
The Entrepreneurship Minor
The Entrepreneurship Minor is designed to give you the start-a-business basics, so you can put your expertise and passion to work building a new venture—whatever your major. The program is open to students in business and non-business majors. Required classes include Foundations of Entrepreneurship, New Venture Finance, Business Plan Development, and Entrepreneurial Marketing. Eighteen semester credit hours are required.
