 The David Eccles School of Business has a unique program designed for students with an outstanding academic record and an interest in business. The newly created Business Advanced Student Admission Program (ASAP) allows students to:

Take many first-year classes in a cohort, where students will get to know one another and learn together throughout their business academic career.

Complete course work for the University Honors Program and honors business programs if interested.

Attend seminars with top faculty, leaders of student groups and business professionals.

Participate in site visits to local companies.

Opportunity Quest- Familiarize yourself with the knowledge of entrepreneur skills and opportunities…

The Opportunity Quest is a business plan competition open to teams led by University of Utah students of any discipline. This cross discipline event provides students the

President's Circle Studentopportunity to take part in writing an award winning business plan while being mentored by successful business professionals in the local community. In addition, seminars on business plan writing and presentation skills give students a cutting edge advantage only available outside the classroom. Each year, the Opportunity Quest awards $10,000 in cash prizes to the winning student team.

Week on Wall Street- There is no substitute for practical experience…

Gaining valuable real world experience is no where closer than a week long trip to New York City. Each summer, students at the David Eccles School of Business travel to New York where they explore the financial district, connect with alumni, visit investment banks and corporations and get a rare behind the scenes view of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).  Some of the world's largest corporations host our studentsOpportunity Programincluding Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, jetBlue, JP Morgan and Deloitte. Students met successful alumni who have put their business education to good use incorporate finance, sales and trading, investment banking, real estate investment and quantitative strategies. In addition, students receive the opportunity to socialize with recent graduates working in vibrant New York and discover what their degree from the David Eccles School can do for them.
