MISSION and VISION

The Sorensen Center for Discovery and Innovation distinguishes the David Eccles School of Business and the University of Utah with regard to discovery, creativity, innovation, and design along the dimensions of experiential education, scholarly research, and economic development.

Based on the notion that an inherent diversity of perception and interpretation both exists in, and is a primary driver of, innovative thinking, the Center's focus on creative problem solving in institutions of all types - companies, universities, government agencies, and non-profit organizations - provides a unique learning, teaching, and research environment that establishes the foundation to transform the study of observational discovery and innovation into real-world practice with long-term, meaningful impact.
