Curriculum
Courses are scheduled so students attend classes two evenings each week. The first part of the program is a set core curriculum which develops a strong foundation in the major business disciplines. Rather than a rigid, fixed curriculum throughout the entire program, the second part is composed of electives, 40% of the program. The Professional MBA program does not accept graduate transfer credits from other institutions or programs.
Credit Hour Policy
The Professional MBA program (PMBA) is a 48 credit-hour, 24-month program, designed for students to attend classes two evenings per week. The PMBA is an accelerated and intensive program. Because of the time commitment for study, preparation and team meetings, there are a maximum number of credit hours allowed, per semester, by the program. It is the policy of the PMBA program that students adhere to the prescribed number of credit hours for each of the six semesters. In general, the prescribed number of credit hours consists of nine hours in the fall and spring semesters and up to six credit hours in the summer semesters. Upon consultation with the PMBA Office, students may register for fewer credits in a given semester, but the tuition cost may be higher on a per credit hour basis.
