The David Eccles School of Business offers a PhD program in business administration in the following specialized areas:

• Accounting
• Finance
• Information Systems
• Marketing
• Operations
• Organizational Behavior
• Strategic Management

The PhD program prepares students for faculty positions at leading research universities through the development of specialized knowledge necessary to conduct scholarly research and to be effective teachers. Each program is tailored to the individual student's interests and supervised by faculty who specialize in their fields. Students generally take four or five years of full-time study to complete the program.
