2015 Graduation Ceremonies
The University of Utah General Commencement is a campus-wide opening ceremony, kicking off many events across campus and serving as a collective celebration of the University community and the collective success and accomplishments of the graduating class. It will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Jon M. Huntsman Center.
Candidates for graduation should plan to arrive in cap and gown by 5:00 p.m. in the parking lot south of Milton Bennion Hall. The Commencement procession into the Huntsman Center will consist of four separate lines and will begin at 5:50 p.m. Candidates for graduation must remain in the appropriate line during the procession to ensure proper seating. At the conclusion of Commencement, candidates will exit as directed up the stairs in the Huntsman Center. Graduates and their guests may wish to arrange in advance a place to meet after the ceremony.
Guests should plan to be seated before 5:30 p.m. and may take seats of their choice in any area of the Huntsman Center except those reserved for the candidates for graduation. Tickets are not required to attend Commencement. At the conclusion of the exercises, guests may meet the candidates for graduation as outlined above.
