In May, 40 Professional MBA students from the David Eccles School of Business landed in Beijing, China, to spend a week exploring the practices of several China-based companies, including MSL China, Siemens, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, W.E.T. Automotive Systems, Forrester Research. The group also visited the U.S. Embassy in Beijing.

U startup invited to esteemed entrepreneurial forum
A new University of Utah startup company received an invitation to attend the prestigious Siemens New Ventures Forum in June in Berkeley, Calif.
Only 12 of more than 100 applicants were invited to attend the exclusive forum, which provides startups an opportunity to perfect their business pitch and network with Siemens, a global electronic health care company, which could lead to investments, joint development deals or licensing agreements.

MBA student goes from Ghana to graduation spotlight
Marian Bonar is one of very few students who can say her MBA education took her from Ghana and back while trying to solve a critical social issue.
