Society of Human Resources Management Student Chapter Earns Award
The Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) has announced that the University of Utah student chapter at the David Eccles School of Business has been awarded the organization’s Merit Award for outstanding performance.
The Merit Award is given by the SHRM to recognize university student chapters that have developed effective student groups and promoted noteworthy activities and projects. The University of Utah chapter was recognized at the SHRM 2012 Annual Student Conference this summer.

The University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business has joined the U.S. News & World Report list of the top 10 most-popular business schools in the nation.
Joining the coveted rankings for the first time, the school is 10th and joined such renowned campuses as top-ranked Harvard, No. 2 Pepperdine and No. 3 Stanford. In all, 132 business schools countrywide were reviewed for the U.S. News & World Report Short List based on their “yield rate,” or the percentage of full-time applicants accepted who end up enrolling at specific institutions.
