Eccles School freshmen showed off their ability to find innovative solutions to everyday problems at the Business Scholars Innovation Showcase.

The showcase featured 142 students who divided into 36 teams that found new ways to address issues in fields ranging from fashion to recreation to health and more. Students were judged based on how well their idea addressed a problem and how deeply involved each team member was.

Students compete for recognition on a plaque that hangs in the SFEBB and for extra credit.

Four awards from the Business Scholars Innovation Showcase will be announced in April for the following categories:

• Best idea
• Best branding
• Best prototype
• Best pitch
