Hearty congratulations to marketing and entrepreneurship student Caroline Daley!

Carolie Daley was named Marketing Student of the YearCaroline was chosen as the Marketing Student of the Year at the Utah Marketing Awards earlier this month. The Utah American Marketing Association (AMA) puts on this event each year to honor business professionals in the field.

“This was the first year that they included an outstanding student award, and we are proud that they picked from our Collegiate Chapter of the AMA here at the U of U,” said Paul Dowling, assistant professor/lecturer in the Department of Marketing at the Eccles School.

The UMA event was held at the Loveland Aquarium, and the professional chapter of the AMA presented a total of 10 awards to marketers who distinguished themselves with a clear strategic plan and quantifiable results. About 100 business people from the area attended.

In addition to Caroline’s double major, she is also is working toward a double minor in psychology and arts & technology. As the Communications Director for the Collegiate Chapter of the AMA, she has been instrumental in maintaining a good relationship with the professional chapter as well as informing current student members about meetings and events.

She has also had to wear her creative hat and design promotional campaigns for the organization.
