BLS Forecasts 30% Growth in IS/IT Jobs

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2010-11 Edition, "Overall employment of computer network, systems, and database administrators is projected to increase by 30 percent from 2008 to 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations."

The David Eccles School of Business Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program is designed to provide advanced IT training for individuals seeking the skills necessary to manage the technology of business.

Companies in the private and public sectors need information systems (IS) executives, analysts and specialists with business and technology knowledge to align information technology with business strategies. Our information systems curriculum is designed to offer courses that integrate technology into business processes.

The MSIS program offers students advanced graduate specializations in a variety of today’s hottest IT fields including Data Management, IT Security, Operations, Project Management and more. Each concentration offers University of Utah students a unique competitive advantage that will prepare them for high-level leadership positions in major corporations.

Degree Requirements: 30 credit hours
