Academics
The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) is a 30 credit-hour degree program. Students must complete a Capstone Project (as part of the required 30 credit hours), but a masters thesis is not required. There are no prerequisites for admission into the MSIS program, but IS 4410 (an Upper-Division undergraduate Information Systems course) is a corequisite.
Students may elect to complete the program in either a Full-Time or Part-Time format. Students choosing the Full-Time format typically complete the degree in three semesters. The Part-Time format, which is designed for working professionals and features classes taught during evening hours, typically takes five or six semesters to complete. Students may enroll beginning in either Fall or Spring semester.
The MSIS Program participates in the Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) Academic Alliance. Our partnership with Microsoft gives students free access to many Microsoft software platforms while in school.
