The Internet Marketing Certificate Program will provide participants with an in-depth examination of social media, mobile marketing, online analytics, interactive campaigns, email marketing, search engine marketing, affiliate marketing, and other proven and emerging methods aimed at fully leveraging the Internet for achieving business objectives in acquiring, converting, and retaining online customers.  Upon completing the program, you will learn how to integrate proven strategies, tactics, and best practices in Internet marketing to capture new customers, improve profitability, enhance customer loyalty, deliver superior customer service, introduce new products, and drive business performance. 

Certificate Program Features

  • The Internet Marketing Certificate Program is a non-degree, professional development program
  • Instruction is provided by leading industry experts
  • Six-week, weekend formats are available twice yearly.
  • Program will be delivered through on campus lecture, case studies, online analysis, interactive assignments, and group work.
    • All participants attending a minimum of five of the six sessions will receive a Certificate from the David Eccles School of Business, Executive Education Department.
    • This program qualifies for up to 70 Professional Development Units (PDUs) and 7.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), based on attendance.

Faculty- Matt LangieFaculty- Matt LangieMatthew Langie is the founder and CEO of Online Marketing Gurus, which he established to address the lack of higher education opportunities serving the needs of Internet marketing professionals. In his role, he has brought together a team of highly experienced industry professionals and instructors-- the Gurus-- to deliver Internet Marketing executive education programs in partnership with leading business schools. He also serves as Director of Product Marketing for the Digital Marketing Business Unit at Adobe Systems, where he is responsible for marketing the company’s industryleading digital marketing solutions generating over a half billion dollars in revenue.


Langie has extensive experience in software and technology marketing, including leadership roles at Omniture, WebTrends, Infor Global Solutions, Datastream and Hewlett-Packard. He served as vice president of marketing for Timeline Computer Entertainment, a software company founded by the late, best-selling author Michael Crichton, and he led marketing and business development for the software technology research lab at Intel. He began his career in the U.S. Air Force, leaving the service at the rank of Captain.


Langie currently serves on the Executive Council of the Internet Marketing Association, a professional organization with over 500,000 members worldwide. He is Director Emeritus of the Web Analytics Association and is a recognized thought leader in the online analytics and digital marketing industry. Langie is a highly sought after speaker at digital marketing conferences, trade shows and other industry events focused on innovation in new and emerging digital channels, such as social media, mobile, and online video.
