DESB Convocation
Convocation is an annual event that honors Spencer Fox Eccles for his significant role securing a $15 million endowment for the David Eccles School in 1991 by his aunt, Emma Eccles Jones. Convocation speakers are business leaders who exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit of David Eccles. They are asked to speak on lessons they have learned in business.
Young Alumni Speaker Series
The series is designed to gather together University of Utah alumni and friends to learn about topics of interest in our community from an array of stimulating speakers. The series, which takes place in various settings, includes substantive as well as lighthearted fare.

DESB Hall of Fame
The David Eccles School of Business Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves in professional endeavors and community service. The achievements and characteristics of each member is a model for students and our community. The Hall of Fame Gallery is featured in the foyer of the Kendall D. Garff Building where plaques commemorate induction and pay homage to the significant accomplishments of the David Eccles School of Business community.
DESB Distinguished Alumni
Every year as part of graduation ceremonies, the David Eccles School of Business recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to the business community and who have also distinguished themselves during their careers.
University Par Excellence Award
Presented by the Young Alumni Board (YAB) annually to a former University of Utah student who attended within the last 15 years and has given outstanding service to the University, the community, and his/her profession.
University Honorary Alumnus/a Award
Represents the highest honor the Association bestows upon a non-alumnus/a. One award is given annually. The award recipient is honored at the annual Founders Day Banquet.
University Emeritus Merit of Honor Award
Presented by the Emeritus Alumni Board (EAB) annually to former students who attended the University of Utah 40 or more years ago and who have given distinguished service to the University, the national or local communities, and/or their profession. The awards are presented at the annual Merit of Honor Banquet.
