Requirements

The admissions committee takes a look at the full application package. All components of the application -- GMAT/GRE, previous academic coursework, work experience, essays, and letters of recommendation -- are important.

In order for an application to be considered complete, we require the following:

1) A four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

2) University of Utah Graduate School Application

a) Transcripts from previous schools attended
b) $55 application fee (late fee of $25 assessed after April 1st)

3) David Eccles School of Business Professional MBA application

a) Official GMAT Score report

* GRE will be accepted in lieu of GMAT if previously taken for another graduate degree
* GRE Designated Institutional code for PMBA is 4163

b) Current Resume
c) Essays (one required, one optional)
d) Two Letters of Recommendation

* The letter of recommendation should discuss how long and in what capacity the recommender has known the applicant, as well as the applicant’s strengths, weaknesses, personal character, and potential for success in the Professional MBA program.

The admissions committee is committed to individually assessing the merits of each applicant. While there are no minimum requirements for these elements, our applicant pool is highly competitive. The class admitted fall 2009 had an average 570 on the GMAT, 3.4 GPA, and 4.5 years post-undergraduate work experience.
