The David Eccles School of Business offers you an opportunity to select the business degree that best suits your personality. We offer majors in Accounting, Management, Marketing, Information Systems, Business Administration, Business Administration with an international emphasis, Finance and Entrepreneurship. We also offer a Business minor.

Transfer Students

We are happy to accept transfer students from every school. If you have been attending an out of state school please contact an advisor for information on what classes transfer and what you will still need to take. If you have been attending an in-state school please look at the following transfer articulation agreements below to see how your classes transfer:

Transfer work which may fill School of Business classes must be evaluated by the Undergraduate Programs Office well in advance of the application deadline. All transfer students will be required to meet with an advisor and attend the University Orientation before they can register for classes.

University of Utah Students

If you are already a student enrolled in the University of Utah, you are encouraged to explore the various potential that business school can provide you. If you are interested in becoming a Business major, please follow the step by step instruction below:

If you are interested in taking Business classes as a non-Business major, please fill out the Enrollment Request Form and turn it into BUC 104.

Incoming freshmen:

Register for first year Business courses

Think:

Do I want to pursue a degree in Business?

What area of Business do I want to pursue?

Sophomores and juniors:

Talk to an advisor to see if Business suits you.

 

Complete all first and second year Business courses and IS 2010, Math 1090 (or 1100), and Writing 2010 with a B or better grade.

Apply for upper division!

 

Please notice that all applicants are evaluated and ranked by their cumulative grade point average (GPA). The last admissions GPA cut off was a 3.1. If you have any questions, please stop by the Undergraduate Programs office in BUC 104 or call us at (801) 581-7853.
