Sorenson Inventor Showcase
The Sorenson Inventor Showcase is Utah’s premier networking event for inventors, entrepreneurs and the business and investment community. The annual conference highlights 40 technologies from Utah’s universities and the companies developing them, and provides a venue for local industry leaders to connect with researchers and scientists, encouraging collaborative commercialization efforts. The 2009 Showcase will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Showcase offers maximum exposure to a wide array of innovations in just a few hours, spotlighting the prolific contribution of University researchers to Utah’s innovation framework. Technologies from several Utah universities will be on display. Speed pitch presentations, introduced and highly popular in 2008, have been redesigned to include presentations to venture capitalist panels, in addition to being open to all conference attendees.
This year's event is co-organized and hosted by the Utah Fund of Funds, MountainWest Capital Network and the University of Utah's Sorenson Center for Discovery and Innovation.
