With a lead gift of $6 million from American inventor James Sorenson in September 2007, the Center is able to provide many programs for discovery and innovation studies. Programs endorsed by the Center include:

  • Tech Titans, a state-wide, college student design and idea competition,

  • The annual Sorenson Inventor Showcase, highlighting inventors and technologies from Utah’s universities,

  • The J.L. Sorenson Faculty Research Awards for multi-disciplinary teams, and

  • The Winter Product and Service Innovation Conference for academics nationwide.
