Through participation in the wide variety of career related courses, workshops and events generated by the MBA Career Management office, MBA students can benefit from highly professional and extremely valuable career coaching and advice.

Programs and Opportunities

Job and Internship Postings —Brief descriptions of positions specifically for DESB masters students. This site is password protected. To get the username and password, please email career@business.utah.edu. Full descriptions and instructions on how to apply can be found at UCareerLink.
MBA 6000/Career Strategies — a required comprehensive course for MS Finance and day MBA students. Topics include: career self-assessment, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking and more.
One-on-one career counseling and workshops — topics may include utilizing self-assessment tools, interview skill development, job search strategy, and salary negotiation.
SMART Start Mentor Program —MBAs select their mentors online from among seasoned and talented business leaders in the community and then network with them throughout the year.
Mock Interviews — students can experience the value of both a "real" interview with a business professional and the unique opportunity for critical feedback from the interviewer.
Internet Job Search Resources —a collection of websites to help you research companies, prepare for interviews, and search for jobs.
International Student Workshops —all international masters students are invited to attend a series of informational packed sessions including topics such as American business image, English language assessment, internship and job search strategies from an international perspective, immigration law and more.
Career Fairs — all eligible students are encouraged to attend a variety of campus and off-campus Career Fair events to facilitate additional opportunities to connect with recruiters and company representatives.
