Programs and Opportunities
- Job and Internship Postings —Brief descriptions of positions specifically for DESB masters students. This site is password protected. To get the username and password, please email career@business.utah.edu. Full descriptions and instructions on how to apply can be found at UCareerLink.
- MBA 6000/Career Strategies — a required comprehensive course for MS Finance and day MBA students. Topics include: career self-assessment, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking and more.
- One-on-one career counseling and workshops — topics may include utilizing self-assessment tools, interview skill development, job search strategy, and salary negotiation.
- SMART Start Mentor Program —MBAs select their mentors online from among seasoned and talented business leaders in the community and then network with them throughout the year.
- Mock Interviews — students can experience the value of both a "real" interview with a business professional and the unique opportunity for critical feedback from the interviewer.
- Internet Job Search Resources —a collection of websites to help you research companies, prepare for interviews, and search for jobs.
- International Student Workshops —all international masters students are invited to attend a series of informational packed sessions including topics such as American business image, English language assessment, internship and job search strategies from an international perspective, immigration law and more.
- Career Fairs — all eligible students are encouraged to attend a variety of campus and off-campus Career Fair events to facilitate additional opportunities to connect with recruiters and company representatives.
