Program Description The Masters in Real Estate Development (MRED) is designed for business, architecture, urban planning, engineering, and law students looking to specialize in the real estate industry. The curriculum in the MRED Program is structured to provide students with a working understanding of various components of the commercial real estate industry. Multiple disciplines from across campus are involved in the program giving students the ability to focus their studies in any of the following field areas: finance, architecture, planning, transportation and sustainability.
The Program 39 credit hours Core courses: real estate principles, finance, development, applications of geographic information systems to planning and development, and site planning focusing on sustainability. Core courses include team work (professional collaboration), negotiation/conflict management and capstone team assignment. Approved field areas of emphasis: finance, planning, architecture, transportation and sustainability. Other areas available with school approval.

Degree Requirements 39 total credit hours core courses - 27 credit hours Spatial Analysis - 3 credit hours Real Estate Analysis - 3 credit hours Field area of emphasis* - 6 credit hours *Approved field areas of emphasis include: finance, design, planning, preservation, transportation and sustainability. Other areas available with school approval.
Application Process Two part application is required first the University Graduate School and second the MRED Program. The University Grad School application should be completed 30 days before the program's deadline.

Admission Requirements Four year Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above GMAT or GRE
