Business Minor Requirements

The David Eccles School of Business has established a business minor designed for students majoring in other programs throughout the University. Most of the courses for the minor are offered every semester.
Prerequisites:
Information Systems: 2010 Computer Essentials (B- or better)
Writing: 2010 Intermediate Writing (B or better)
College Algebra or Statistics: (not Math 1040) (B or better)
Business: 1050 Foundations of Business
Required Courses (12 credit hours):
Accounting 3000
Management 3500
Finance 3000
Marketing 3000
REQUIRED ELECTIVES (6 Upper Division credit hours):
2 Business Electives from ACCTG, FINAN, IS, MGT, MKTG.
•Before applying students must be non-business majors and must have the following:
•Complete IS 2010, WRTG 2010, and MATH 1090 or 1050 with a "B" or better.
•Minimum GPA of 2.70 is required for admission to the Minor.
•Full Major status (cannot be in a pre major or business major).
•Prerequisites (Finance 3000 before any Finance Elective, Mktg 3000 before any Mktg Elective).
•Minimum grade of C- or better is required unless otherwise noted.
•Maximum of two courses can be transferred from another school to satisfy required courses.
•You must contact the Undergraduate office to be registered for Business Electives.
