It's an exciting time for the University of Utah and for the David Eccles School of Business.

As you may know, the U has recently joined the Pacific-10 athletic conference. If you're a sports fan you probably know what that means; if not, then just know that we've been invited to join an elite club of universities known for their top-notch academic programs. The Pac-10 invitation reflects Utah's success both on the athletic playing fields and in our classrooms and laboratories. We couldn't be prouder.

Here at the U's David Eccles School of Business, we are in the middle of constructing a new 188,000 square foot building. Yes, it will be a little dusty here during the first year of your studies, but Phase I of the new structure should be done during Fall semester 2011.

But our changes aren't limited to bricks-and-mortar—we're building a new business school on the inside as well. We're going to be doing more than ever before to prepare you for success and connect you with opportunity. We're also working hard to build the "Eccles" brand, so that companies will beat a path to Salt Lake City to hire our grads.

And all this on top of our award-winning faculty, ultra-committed staff, experiential learning opportunities, and superb student body.
