Nancy Furlong

 Before joining the David Eccles School of Business in March 2009, Nancy spent 10 years in the investment industry—two years as a VP in JPMorgan’s private wealth management group in Salt Lake City and eight years as VP of investments for UBS Bank in California. In addition to her experience in the financial services sector, Nancy was the director of sales and marketing for two software companies in San Diego, California, and also worked in advertising for the Los Angeles Times. Nancy has her undergraduate degree from UCLA and has been in two postgraduate school programs in education and business administration.

Laura Shackelford

 Laura Shackelford received her undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University with a major in psychology and minor in public relations. Upon graduation, Laura moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, to work as executive assistant and special projects coordinator for the Work Activity Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to offering opportunities to disabled adults. While assisting several departments at the Work Activity Center, Laura realized her interest in human resources and accepted a position as human resources manager with Harmons. For nearly three years, Laura moved from store to store in the Salt Lake Valley screening resumes, interviewing, hiring, teaching orientation to new employees, and helping department managers and employees to reach their goals. In her new position as undergraduate internship coordinator for the University of Utah’s Business Career Services, Laura draws from her human resources experience to provide ongoing career coaching to undergraduate pre and intermediate business students seeking internships, jobs, and more campus involvement.

Kelly Collins
Operations Coordinator

 Kelly Collins is the operations coordinator for Business Career Services at the David Eccles School of Business. Kelly joined Business Career Services in August 2010. Prior to this, Kelly was the political compliance supervisor with Kaufman Legal Group in Los Angeles, California. Kelly's primary role included managing federal, state, and local campaign accounts and ensuring compliance within their respective jurisdictions. She also served as the deputy finance director for Wisconsin Governor Mr. Jim Doyle. Kelly graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Studies.
